“I don’t believe they interfered” in the election, (Donald Trump) told Time magazine this week. The hacking, he said, “could be Russia. And it could be China. And it could be some guy in his home in New Jersey.”

(Worth the long read, inform yourself, but keep questioning)
Regardless of whether or not there was clear and present interference or just one single invalid vote caused by hacking—be it Russia, China, or just "some guy"—doesn't that then invalidate and compromise the entire system? If there is a credible accusation of interference in our electoral system and the election itself, shouldn't there be an investigation? This is straight out of Cold War hysteria fiction, this is basically an open Manchurian Candidate.
I would think, in the event it can be proven there was illegal foreign influence, the entire election cycle should be forfeited. I cannot argue that Obama should stay in office, his term limit has been reached, but Trump, et al, should be ineligible for office. In the hierarchy of transferring of power, the Speaker of the House is third in line to the Presidency. This would be Paul Ryan as of current. If we do scrap this election, Speaker Ryan should be sworn in in January as an interim President until a new President can be elected without foreign or domestic interference. Neither Trump nor Hillary should be eligible to run again, especially considering controversy surrounds both concerning their rise to nomination.
I would say perhaps the second place representatives of each party should be immediately nominated for a special election to be held next November. I'd say the National Committees should organize debates and nominees, but both Committees were compromised during this election cycle so would the American public at large even trust their previously running or newly presented nominees?
The issues surrounding this entire election cycle are unprecedented. I still have no faith in Trump or the cabinet he is gathering to do the American people any justice. Trump has already backed off nearly all his threats, boasts, and promises and shown that his own personal gain takes precedence over our nation. Michael Moore predicts he'll quit before he even gets sworn in. I've seen that prediction before the election even took place and it would not surprise me one bit to see him quit at any stage, in keeping with insanity of this whole process. Neither would I be surprised to see him remain in office, but be little more than a talking head who leaves all governance to, you know, actual politicians. That's to say we don't find the smoking gun, as it were, of unjust influence on this election.
I'm nobody. I'm an author of weird fiction screaming into the bottomless pit of the internet. I have no influence and I doubt I could argue my case handily against anyone with even the slightest bit more knowledge of our political system. But I do know that if our system was broken not by our own ineptitude, but by Russia, China, or Eddie from down the way? Everything should be tossed and cleansed.
Our country is divided, hurting, and in many cases, indeed broken. Let us remember our very own Pledge of Allegiance: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
No justice? No peace.
Throughout history, from Aesop's Fables, the Bible, to the Great Seal of Kentucky, the phrase "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" has been a call to come together, to sort out differences, to ensure unity overcomes derision. Let us come together now. Find and mete out justice for our election system, and if it is found faulty, a true and honorable successor elected by We the People.
